Beth Erlund

Having learned the art of batik in Japan, Beth Erlund has made it her career for over 40 years. Drawing with hot wax on a cloth to preserve the colors, she dyes her pieces 50 times to achieve detail. She may add encaustic, paper, or objects to complete the story. The unique look has given her award-winning work recognition in 5 museum permanent collections and countless corporate and private collections.
